Good News from Southern Cal and the "Easties"
We are excited to report that the Los Angeles and Orange County "Easties" will
be 'manning' the phones on Friday, December 9th during our PBS EE pledge drive
for KOCE.
During the pledge drive, KOCE will be airing Civvy Street at 7 p.m., replacing
the two slated EastEnders episodes. We are hoping that this will be the best
pledge drive ever on KOCE for EastEnders. And the beginning of more EastEnders
specials to come on PBS.
The L.A./O.C. Easties will also be auctioning off on eBay an EastEnders script
signed by cast heavies, and a scarf and brooch worn by Dot Cotton on the show.
These were all kindly donated by June Brown. We also have personal items donated
by members of our group also for sale on eBay, and all proceeds will go to our
PBS station to keep EastEnders on the air.
